Shoshone Tortilla Soup

 

Ingredients
1 Can of beer
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 to 1 1/2 lbs. ground turkey
3 cans chicken broth
1 can corn (drained)
1 lime
1 jar hot or medium salsa
1/2 handful chopped fresh cilantro
1 bag tortilla chips

 

Directions
1.   Pour the beer into the cook.
2.   In a big pot, heat the olive oil, then cook the turkey for about 10 minutes at medium heat stirring & breaking up the chunks.
3.   Add the chicken broth, corn & salsa.
4.   Cover pot & simmer for 15 minutes.
5.   Add the cilantro & juice from the lime about 5 minutes before serving.
6.   Put chips in the bowls & pour the soup over them.
