February 1 – 3, 2002
With the help of fresh snow and sunny days, the Creek Tribe hosted the best Winter Camp in years. Father-Son "Olympic" events and a new and improved Crow "Luge" run added to the fun. The Shoshone, with their Monsters, Inc., sculpture, took first prize in the snow sculpture competition for the second straight year.
But the real winners are the Dads and Sons who got to spend time together, just having fun! Wahoka.
Below are a few pictures of the event. If you have pictures you would like to share, e-mail them to webmaster@rising-son-nation.com

The Crow Tribe improved upon its famous "Luge" sledding run this year, making it longer and faster. (And Moms, please be assured that every precaution and the latest safety technology was used in the design and construction of the Luge.) Now you can see the Luge runners in action right here. Click on the links below for 10-15 second video clips of the Crow Luge. The video clips are each a little more than 1 megabyte in size. If you don't have a high speed connection (e.g., cable modem), try right-clicking on the link, then use "save target as" to save the clip to your computer hard drive (remember where you save it). After it is downloaded, run the video clip from your hard drive. You may need to download and install a media player such as Microsoft Media Player. The movies are large files, so please be patient as they may take a while to download. |
