Graduating Braves are honored at campout
at O'Neill Park in June 2001.

And Fire Fox of the Shoshone takes over as Nation Chief.

Honors are also given to outgoing and incoming
Chiefs and Nation Officers.  It is these people whose volunteer efforts make the events happen.  Thank you!

A special Wahoka to the outgoing Nation Chief, Screaming Eagle of the Cheyenne! Screaming Eagle's masterful stewardship of the Nation this year was matched only by his modesty -- he gives all credit to the tribal chiefs and nation officers -- and his commitment to his two Rising Son Nation braves.  Thank you Bill, er . . . Screaming Eagle!!

Fire Fox of the Shoshone is named Nation Chief.  He will have big shoes to fill, but if anyone can do it, it is Fire Fox!  Next year will see the merger with the White Buffalo Nation and great new events, including a campout to Joshua Tree National Monument.

Finally, Wahoka to all of the Fathers of the Rising Son Nation.  By participating in the YMCA Guides, you show that you care enough for your sons to set aside the time to be with them and to create the memories that will last a lifetime.
